Guardians of the Galaxy Vol2 (2017) **REVIEW**

When the first ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ was released I must say I was a little hesitant to see it but I saw it and today I love it and can’t stop watching it. So when I heard a second one was coming I was really excited and I got the opportunity this week to go to the cinema and see it and I have to say, it’s absolutely amazing.

Volume 2 begins with the guardians protecting batteries from a monster who want to see it. We see little Groot fighting small rats because they ‘looked at him’ funny. They manage to kill the monster but Rocket also manage to offend the people who hired them to protect the batteries by stealing some of the batteries so now they are being hunted. Not only that, Quill’s father shows up. Of course Quill is a little hestitant to believe him but Gamora talks him into going with his father to get some answers.

So obviously Quill likes him and starting to admire his father. We get to see who his father is and what he is. Answers. But can the team handle it? In this film we get to see a new side of Drax and it’s downright hysterical, who knew he could be sensitive, funny and down to earth kind of alien. He befriends Quill’s fathers ‘pet’ Mantis and it’s really adorable. And to talk about Groot, he steals the show by being freakishly cute. I am hoping for the third film, we get to see Groot as a teenager, that would be epic. When Quill meets his real father, you will start to understand Yondu.

If you loved the first ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ then you will love the second one. It will make you laugh til you cry and just cry. It got it’s funny moments and sad ones. They hit you right in the feels.

Actors: Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Sylvester Stallone, Pom Klementieff, Kurt Russell and many more.

Live By Night (2016) **REVIEW**

Ben Affleck have always been one of those actors who have been mediocre for me but after I saw The Accountant he truly did change my mind and he did NOT disappoint in Live By Night that he directed and Leonardo DiCaprio was a co-producer on.

Live By Night is about Joe, Joseph, a man from Boston who came home from a war and promised himself that he would never follow any orders anymore and became an outlaw. Early 1920’s being an outlaw or being poor was the options so you could make money. He had two friends that he did robberies with around town, and a girlfriend who was also the girlfriend of a powerful mafia boss that Joe was associated with. Until one evening when the boss finds out about their relationship, Joe gets a beating and before he was about to get taken away, his father shows up – who’s a high up police officer. Earlier Joe had been involved in a robbery gone wrong and few police officers were killed, Joe gets arrested  but he didn’t kill the cops, his friends did so he got 3 years for robbery.

When Joe comes out of prison he is ready to start over, he starts working with the Italian mafia and takes over the Florida affairs. He’s in charge of the making of rum. This was during prohibition so his crew was making alcohol and selling it in bars out on the woods. Everything was going nicely until the KKK shows up and starts a war and Joe need to handle.

And also during Joe taking care of the Florida alcohol making he also falls in love with his partners sister. First thinking it will only be a fling but it blows into a full on relationship and marriage.

But here’s the thing, will Joe be able to handle his crew and run things and keep his girl happy? At the same time living in threat of KKK, who is making threats to Joe’s business and to kill his girl.

Live By Night was surprisingly good and I was in awe of Ben Affleck’s amazing acting and the script was superb. I was on the edge of my set for the entire duration of the film and I’d say go and see it soon as you can. It will not disappoint you in any way. The film does contain strong language that some might find offensive with strong violence and sexual scenes.

Actors: Ben Affleck, Elle Fanning, Remo Girone, Brendan Gleeson, Robert Glenister, Matthew Maher, Chris Messina, Siena Miller, Zoe Saldana and many more.

OUT OF THE FURNACE **REVIEW**

I always wanted to see this movie and when I saw it was available at Netflix I couldn’t watch it fast enough. And I can totally tell you guys that it’s worth a watch.

Small town and 2 brothers – Russell & Rodney. One  have gambling debts (Rodney) and the other works at the towns mill (Russell) and always bailing his brother out by paying his debts. One evening Russell have one too many to drink and sits behind the wheel and crashes into a car that he see’s in the last minute. He goes to jail and when he gets out, Rodney is in alot of trouble. He started being in illegal fights and one day he wants to be in one with unstable people holding it. When Rodney doesn’t end up his end of the fix fight, he disappears.. Russell does anything to find Rodney and he feels the police doesn’t do anything. Mainly because Rodney vanishes in a different county. Will Russell find Rodney and get justice or will Russell go his own way to find his brother?

I would recommend watching his movie, you see actors like Woody Harrelson, Christian Bale, Casey Affleck, Zoe Saldana, Sam Shepard, William Dafoe & Forest Whitaker.
