Guardians of the Galaxy Vol2 (2017) **REVIEW**

When the first ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ was released I must say I was a little hesitant to see it but I saw it and today I love it and can’t stop watching it. So when I heard a second one was coming I was really excited and I got the opportunity this week to go to the cinema and see it and I have to say, it’s absolutely amazing.

Volume 2 begins with the guardians protecting batteries from a monster who want to see it. We see little Groot fighting small rats because they ‘looked at him’ funny. They manage to kill the monster but Rocket also manage to offend the people who hired them to protect the batteries by stealing some of the batteries so now they are being hunted. Not only that, Quill’s father shows up. Of course Quill is a little hestitant to believe him but Gamora talks him into going with his father to get some answers.

So obviously Quill likes him and starting to admire his father. We get to see who his father is and what he is. Answers. But can the team handle it? In this film we get to see a new side of Drax and it’s downright hysterical, who knew he could be sensitive, funny and down to earth kind of alien. He befriends Quill’s fathers ‘pet’ Mantis and it’s really adorable. And to talk about Groot, he steals the show by being freakishly cute. I am hoping for the third film, we get to see Groot as a teenager, that would be epic. When Quill meets his real father, you will start to understand Yondu.

If you loved the first ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ then you will love the second one. It will make you laugh til you cry and just cry. It got it’s funny moments and sad ones. They hit you right in the feels.

Actors: Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Sylvester Stallone, Pom Klementieff, Kurt Russell and many more.

Creed (2015) **REVIEW**

As some of you may have heard this film features Rocky Balboa – and now you’re thinking great another Rocky movie. Let me stop you right there. Yes, this film features Rocky but he is not the main character this time. And if you’re scared of spoilers – please do not continue reading this post.

Adonis Johnson – a troubled kid who want somewhere to belong. One day in juvenile detention his late fathers wife takes Adonis in as her own to give him somewhere to belong he moves in with her in L.A. Several years later – he is doing well for himself but he loved boxing. And he boxes in Mexico. As Adonis tries to have a trainer in L.A to train him – nobody seems to want to take on that job.

So he quits his job and moves. To Philadelphia. He tracks down Rocky Balboa and trying to have him to train him. As Adonis trying to convince Rocky to train him as he wants to be trained by the best – Rocky finds out who his father is – Apollo Creed. A few days go by and Rocky decides to help him and it’s not long before the media finds out who Adonis is and he gets offered a fight of his lifetime – if he agrees to change his name to Creed.

Creed is an excellent film with a great story line and excellent actors. We see some old timers regulars from Rocky Balboa films. I wouldn’t say it’s a family film due to violence and blood. But you should most definitely see this film this year.

You see actors like Michael B Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, Tony Bellew and many more.

Expendables 3 (2014) **REVIEW**

A third Expendables film and it doesn’t disappoint. It got a lot of action and a lot of familiar old faces and all of them kick ass one way or another. The film proves it doesn’t matter how old you are – you’re still an action hero.

Barney is back with his team of suicidal nut cases. But when they’re on a mission something goes wrong – Caesar gets shoot but non other than a former Expendable – Stonebanks. Who’s been presumed dead for years now. Barney goes on a mission to hunt him down and bring him back – well CIA wants him alive. Barney just want to hunt him down. So he hires new people for his team because he doesn’t want his original team hurt or ended up dead in this suicide mission. But everything goes so wrong with the mission to get Stonebanks that Barney now haveĀ  to save his new team with the old one.
A lot of action and swearing so don’t let your kids see the film. But we see a woman kicking some serious ass. She definitely is my new favorite on this franchise.

You see actors like Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Harrison Ford, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mel Gibson, Wesley Snipes, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, Glen Powell, Antonio Banderas & Ronda Rousey.
