So.. I came around to see the new Insidious. I been waiting on it so excited and… what shall I say? I don’t know.
We get to meet Elise again and this time we see an old torturer of hers. When she was a kid her father beat her and punished her by putting her in a dark basement when she spoke about ghosts she saw in the house. When she was in the basement something tricked her into opening a door and something came out. Something scary.
Fast forward til 2010 and she’s older now. She gets a call about a haunting and turns out – it’s her old house she lived in as a kid. The person living there now need help for the haunting is becoming bad. First Elise didn’t want to take this job but then she decides to. And what is about to be uncovered can put chills in your spine.
‘Insidious’ horror franchise is one I love but the third movie and certainly this one didn’t impress me too much. At first ‘The Last key’ had it’s scary moment and made me go “HELL NO” but closer to the end it got, less scary it became. Almost felt very rushed. At least with the first 2 they took their time with it and that’s not the case with this one. Felt a bit disappointed.
I wouldn’t exactly recommend it to anyone but if you have been following the saga from the get go then I say watch it. Get your own opinion about it.

When it comes to sequel films we all know they can be rather disappointing. At I have to say Insidious 3 was a little disappointing. It didn’t have the same jump scares and tense scenes as the first film and second film did. But over all it was a good film – they didn’t disappoint on the story.
The third film is more or less about Elise. We get to see how she realize how she gifted she is and she really can help others who are haunted. Quinn lost her mother in illness and she comes to Elise for a reading. Only for Elise to realize something else is holding on to Quinn when she tries to contact her mother who passed. Elise feels some sort of connection with Quinn because she lost her husband sudden.
Elise realize how much Quinn and her family needs her. That she really need to help them. And we get to see how she met the two guys she works with and how their work relationship begins.
If you like the other two Insidious films then I would recommend for you to see this one. You get an insight on Elise.
You see actors like Dermot Mulroney, Stefanie Scott, Angus Sampson, Lin Shaye, Leigh Whannell, Tate Berney, Steve Coulter and many more.
Second installment of this franchise – and in this one we get to find out more about Josh and when he was a child. Questions will be answered. Like who is the woman who haunted Josh as a child?
In the first film we see Dalton being kept captive and a mothers desperate plea to save him. In this second one it’s Josh who’s trapped. Just in the end of the first one we see Elise being strangled by Josh… but it’s not Josh who’s strangled Elise.
In chapter 2 the family think the hauntings have stopped and all will be okay again but they don’t know about Josh just yet. It doesn’t take long for Renai and Josh’s mother – Lorraine – to figure out what’s wrong. They get help from Elise two boys that was helping her. Lorraine and the two boys goes to the old womans house, where she lived when she was alive. But the woman is not a woman – it’s a man. They find out more about the woman in a black dress. And figure out fast that Josh is in danger and have to find him, most likely stuck in the “Further” while this woman is in Josh’s body.
Some of the things that happened in the first film, we get the answers on the second one. Elise helps Josh in the “Further” to find the old womans home and use the memories to save his family and his physical body. But through the film we see some nasty stuff and pretty good jump scares.
And in Chapter 3 (in cinemas now) we see the beginning of the old woman, how it all began. And I’m intrigued to see it.
You see actors like Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Ty Simpkins, Lin Shaye, Barbara Hershey, Steve Coulter and many more.
Insidous Chapter3 trailer:
I remember seeing the first film – the DVD for this film came along with another film I bought. Got it as bonus film with Sinister. First time watching Insidious I got scared – and it’s not easy to scare me with horror film anymore. But this one is very good made and I love this franchise. Something about horror films and when it’s about kids when it turns extra scary somehow.
A family of 5 moves into a new house – gorgeous Victorian house. Dalton is the oldest child of Josh & Renai and he is an adventurous child. He goes up to the attic one day in the new house and climbs the ladder to only fall and hit his head. While he is sitting on the floor he sees something, something he finds scary. The next day he won’t wake up from his sleep. Doctors say it’s a coma that might or might not be caused by the fall. So Dalton gets home care and the parents are beyond themselves. But Renai is starting to see things and thinks she’s crazy. Until one day it gets so graphic she insist to move. So they do, move into a smaller house but the happenings won’t stop. Josh mom says she can help, there is someone. Elise – a medium with extraordinary powers. She knows what’s going on.
Dalton isn’t in a coma, he is in something Elise calls the Further. Where all the nasty dead souls live and want nothing more to come back to life and praying on Dalton, to have his physical body to come back. And they are keeping Daltons astral projected self hidden so he can’t come back home.
Question is, will Elise be able to help them? Dalton will he come home again? But where and from who did Dalton get his astral projection power from? And why is Josh so scared of getting help?
Insidious is one hell of a good horror film and highly recommended if you’re after something more different in horror films because most have already been done .But not something like this.
You see actors like Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Ty Simpkins, Lin Shaye, Barbara Hershey, Philip Friedman and many more.
An Ouija board makes you contact the other side where the non living people are. And making this contact isn’t always the best thing for you – specially if you don’t know what you’re doing.
Laine and Debbie have been best friends for a long time. Until something very horrible happens to Debbie and Laine is desperate for answers. Why did Debbie hang herself? So Laine takes an Ouija board found in Debbies room and makes her 3 friends & her sister – Sarah play along. First they don’t believe they had made contact. Just someone in the gang was pushing it. But then mysterious things starts to happen – friends die. So Laine visits the previous owner of Debbie’s house to talk to her about it. Who’s doing all the creepy things? Who’s the ghosts? But there’s something more sinister in the house and it’s always the last person you’d think would do it.
Did I think the movie was good? Hard to say. It wasn’t scary like I jumped out of my chair. It makes you look around in the room and feel uncomfortable but it wasn’t scary to the point when you’d feel your pulse and heart racing. The story itself was good and interesting but felt like somehow it’s been done before.
You see actors like Olivia Cooke, Ana Coto, Daren Kagasoff, Bianca A Santos, Douglas Smith, Shelley Hennig, Sierra Heuermann, Lin Shaye and many more.
