Wonder Woman (2017) **REVIEW**

When it comes to DC I always been a bit iffy. When I heard ‘Wonder Woman’ was going to¬† get a remake and Gal Gadot (Fast and the furious) was going to play Diana I was thrilled, she’s a good actress. When I walked into the cinema screen this weekend I walked in with an open mind and not expecting much, I been very disappointed in past about remakes.

At the start we see Diana as a small child sneaking to see the warriors train, she wants nothing more to train herself and is seen mimic their moves. Her aunt Antiope, the general of Amazon warriors, decides to train her behind Diana’s mother – Amazon Queen. Until Diana’s early/mid teen her mother catches them training and then she decides to let Diana get trained, harder than anyone. Diana grows up to be the best warrior but still get easily distracted.

So, when Diana is standing by a cliff she see’s an airplane crashing into the water, she saves the pilot – Steve. Shortly after the island where the Amazons are gets a visit from the Germans and most of them dies in the attack because they got new weapons that Amazons never seen before – guns. So you know guns VS swords and bows, I am sure you can guess which one would win when the enemy got a distance. But the Amazons wins with a little help from Steve. But the ladies isn’t convinced that he is a good one but Diana want to help him after he describes the outside world an she wants to help, convinced Aries is behind the World War 2. Her mother allows her to leave, so Diana does knowing she might never be able to return home to her mother.

Diana goes out in the World War 2, helping people with the help of 3 men. She is seeing 2 sides of men, the good one and the bad one. Still convinced Aries is behind it at all and thinking a German general is Aries, she is ruthless and goes after him, but little did she know, she already met Aries, but he makes his presence known by the end, where we get introduced to him and we see who he is. And I promise, it’s ALWAYS the last person you’d ever think it would be.

But is ‘Wonder Woman’ a good film for this generation of young ladies? I’d say so. Diana is a kickass warrior who can take care of herself, she speaks over 100 languages and she won’t walk away from a fight, she stays and she wins. A good statement to show young ladies today. Myself is a little like her, I don’t speak 100 languages, I speak 2 – both fluent. I don’t walk away with the smallest sign of difficulty. I would recommend to go and see and see ‘Wonder Woman’ today with your friends, nieces, sisters why not go and see it with your male friends, brothers, nephews? Anyone can see this and leave feeling ready to take on anything. Gal Gadot did a amazing job as ‘Wonder Woman’ and I can’t wait to see more of her version of Diana.

Actors: Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Said Taghmaoui, Ewen Bremner, Eugene Brave Rock and many more.

Keeping Up With The Joneses (2016) **REVIEW**

Spy comedies.. Yes or no? It’s a very rare thing they manage to hit the right note on these films. So do we have in this film? Neighbours who just moved in a house in a suburb area where everything seems perfect and nothing really happens. We have the couple who seems very interested in the new neighbours and start to investigate and get dragged in to something dangerous.

The Gaffney’s have a typical suburb life. Karen is a interior designer working from home, Jeff works as a HR in a company who makes robotics and they got two boys. This summer they get new neighbours who seems too good to be true – well we all know how this will work out – of course they are too good to be true. And before Karen & Jeff knows it they get sucked in to their world on espionage and action. But even the new neighbours have issues just like any other couple. So who saves who in this film really?

Spy comedies isn’t normally for me and this one was mediocre. It had it’s funny moments but it’s not extremely funny and can be watched during a rainy day and you are out of options.

Actors: Zach Galifianakis, Isla Fisher, Jon Hamm, Gal Gadot, Patton Oswalt, Matt Walsh and many more.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

When it comes to seeing Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne I was skeptical and even after watching this film I was skeptical. I mean, is Ben Affleck really a good choice for Batman? He did good acting but somehow I am still conflicted. What didn’t disappoint me though was Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. He gave a different version of him and he did it spectacular.

While the world is wondering what kind of hero it needs Batman aka Bruce Wayne is wondering if Superman is good or if he is just another criminal. He is trying to find a way to damage Superman, to kill him. While we are seeing Lex Luthor is in the space shit we saw in Man of Steel and basically playing God. We can see how Luthor is slowly losing his mind.

How will Batman take on Superman without getting killed himself? He finds a way and takes on Superman. But Superman only wants Batman’s help to find his mother, who has the same name was Bruce’s mother had. So will Superman be able to convince Batman in battle that the real enemy here actually is Lex Luthor and he needs his help. As Lex took Superman’s mother and also planning something sinister for Metropolis.

We see two cameos in this film: Aquaman & Wonder Woman. As we know those films are coming next year and Wonder Woman is looking quite good, I’d suggest check out the Comic Con one on youtube.

Actors: Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Gal Gadot, Scoot McNairy and many more.
