X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) **REVIEW**

I am a huge fan of the X-Men movie series but there where some faults in this one that doesn’t make sense with the first ones coming out several years ago.

So Apocalypse takes us back to the 80’s and we see some XMen at a young age when they first started and some being recruited as a “horsemen” for an old God who recently woken up after being asleep for 5000 years or so. He makes their powers stronger. And this God names is Apocalypse and he isn’t happy about the fact people forgot about him and not worshiping anymore so what does he do? He recruits 4 people who can be easily controlled, who lost something and they are usually being called the horsemen. So now it’s up to the X-Men to stop this creature. But he is strong so how do they stop him?

We see a young Jean Grey – before she could control her powers, a young Cyclops – being Jeans only friend and also, we get to see a young Kurt Wagner and he joined the X-Men. And it’s here nothing makes sense. Kurt Wagner was introduced in earlier X-Men movies and then Jean and Kurt didn’t know each other. So is there a story that hasn’t been told? I know I haven’t read the comics but for us who didn’t, for us this part don’t make sense.

Over all, X Men: Apocalypse is good. Got some cool effect but somehow – that’s about it. Feels like they are pumping the franchise for money and they lost what X-Men used to be.

Actors: James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Oscar Isaac, Evan Peters, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan and many more.

I saw the first movie when it got released back in 2008, and I got hooked. I knew there was a second movie but I was never sure if I wanted to see it. Because we all know, a second movie usually disappoints. But not this one, it was just as good as the first one. It got more or less the same plot as the first one.

The Beatdown is making a comeback, and 2 guys, 1 wrestler and 1 boxer, been invited to participate but first they need to learn MMA. They get sent to Case Walker, a guy who was the raising star of MMA but suddenly disappered and now he is training MMA to 2 other guys. The wrestler and the boxer are like 2 deers in headlights but manage to learn the ropes. Case trains 4 guys and they help him get a new place to train, since Case is being harrassed by the police. We all remember Max from the first movie, he is the this second one, and he is the guy who bringed back The Beatdown and gets an offer from Case to hold it at his new location. We get to see alot of emotional and laughter during the movie, growing and scary bits of reality.

I would recommend this movie to anyone, but not anyone above 15/18 (depends where in the world you are) since there is alot of blood and bone breaking in this movie.

Incredible fight scene from the movie:
