When the trailer for Ghostbusters was released everyone lost their shit about it. Started saying it was a bad idea for an all female cast and they would ruin it. It won’t be the same. Well, that is the idea. Did you know that Dan Aykroyd is the one who owns the rights and came with the idea of an all female cast? No? Guess you didn’t.
Ghostbusters we see 4 ladies – 3 scientists and 1 who wants to be for the shit of it. They are trying to prove that ghosts are real but being made fun of and called lunitics. The city tries to cover up all the ghost seeings but you can’t hide it for too long. Someone is making ghosts to come out of hiding and they are powerful. They are coming out of places with a powerful death happening – like a tourist haunted house, former prison etc. So it’s up to these ladies to fight the ghosts and save the world.
Now, when it comes to the script it was quite alright but acting was questionable. Same when it came to the chemistry of the cast, it was mediocre. We see cameos from 5 of the former actors of the original films. And it was clever and the highlight of the film to see them. After the credit rolled you can see a scene where it leans on a second film might come – because Zuul was mentioned.
Actors; Kristen Wiig, Ed Begley Jr, Charles Dance, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Neil Casey, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Chris Hemsworth and many more.
Christmas with the Kranks – a married couple decide to skip Christmas and go on a Carribean cruise.
Luther and Nora Krank are a couple who used to have a epic Christmas and a to die for Christmas party. But since their daughter joined the peace core and she be in peru they thought a luxoury cruise would be better and they would save money. But when Luther takes it a step further to skip Christmas altogether, everyone loses their minds. Everyone in the neighbourhood think they are insane and goes on a what you maybe can call witch hunt – to make them put up their tree and ornaments outside the house. But they stick to their plan. They are 24h away from the cruise and their daughter calls – she’s coming home. Oh no.
Christmas with the Kranks is a funny film and the entire family would appreciate watching it. But think about this for a second, how many haven’t thought about skipping Christmas sometime just to save money? But always end up doing same thing over each year. I always like watching Christmas with the Kranks and each year I find it hilarious.
You see actors like Tim Allen, Jamie Lee Curtis, Dan Aykroyd, M Emmet Walsh, Elizabeth franz, Erik Per Sullivan, Felicity Huffman and many more.
The second installment of Indiana Jones movies. I didn’t think this one was just as good. Why? Because of the female character. How that character acted and what she said – it’s somehow ruined the movie for me. I have a hard time liking girls like that – fictional or RL.
Indiana Jones, Willie and Short Round is being left in a plane for it to crash but they manage but get out before it crashes and lands in India. They come to a village where Indiana are being asked to save a crystal that was stolen from their village and find the children who were kidnapped. Indiana is a little skeptic about it but he does it anyway. He sets of with Willie – the spoiled woman who almost ruined the film for me and the little cute Asian kid Short Round. They arrive to a palace where they eat bizarre things – monkey brain, serpant, roaches. Yuck. Indiana finds himself almost getting killed in his room so he walks into Willies room to see if there’s anyone in there too. But they find a hidden pathway behind a pillar. And walk into a temple and walk into all kind of trouble. Indiana, Willie and Short Round now have to figure out how to get out of this.
Yes, I would recommend the movie and ignore the woman. I really didn’t her but you can’t like every character in films. Will always be that one who annoys you.
You see actors like Harrison Ford, Kate Capshaw, Jonathan Ke Quan, Amrish Puri, Roshan Seth, Ric Young, Dan Aykroyd and many more.
This movie got recommended for me by a friend. So I thought I’d give it a go. Both me and my husband couldn’t stop laughing. Melissa McCarthy did this movie so well. She never stops to amaze me with her roles. Just like her cousing, Jenny McCarthy, she is one funny woman.
Tammy… A woman with a dead end job and shit husband. She gets to work late one day and finds herself fired, comes home and the husband (played by Nat Faxon) have dinner with another woman – the next door neighbour (played by Toni Collete). Tammy gets in one of her moods and decides to leave the town. Her grandmother (played by Susan Sarandon) comes with her. Along their travel they have adventures that ends up with giant laughter for the audience. Susan Sarandon and Melissa McCarthy is an amazing comedy team. I love when women have the lead role in comedies, they are just as good and the men.
You see people such as Kathy Bates, Dan Aykroyd, Gary Cole and Sandra Oh in supporting roles. Entire movie Tammy is well cast and you are up for some laughter. I would recommend this movie to anyone who asks, but keep in mind there are some language and sexual content in the movie.
