Thor: Ragnarok (2017) **REVIEW**

When we first met Thor he was basically a party boy who wouldn’t listen to his father’s advice. Everything was a game to him. Then he got into the Avengers. But we never understood Thor’s powers, til Ragnarok.

Thor is out in the universe looking for the infinity stones but when he comes back to Asgaard something isn’t exactly right.. but it doesn’t take him long to figure out what. Dear  old Loki – God of mischief. He had put Odin in New York and took his place. And this is where Thor meets Dr Strange who tells him where Odin is – Norway. But they need to hurry, Odin is sick. And here is where the biggest secret Odin kept from everyone. Odin has a daughter. We all thought Thor was the first-born but no. Hela is the first-born. Back when her and Odin ruled the 9 realms by fear and blood. Odin kept her imprisoned for her thirst for blood and war grew stronger. Soon as Odin had taken his goodbye to his boys he passed. And so the gateway to Hela’s prison opened up.

So now Thor & Loki gotta fight her but something goes wrong on the way back to Asgaard. Thor gets taken captive so fight in an arena, very similar to Gladiators. Where he meets… wait for it… HULK. So they gotta fight each other but here’s where things get interesting. Hulk doesn’t remember much so what happened really when Banner left? We get a taste test of Thor’s true powers because Hela DESTROYED the hammer.

Thor knows that only way for him to get Asgaard back from Hela and save the people is for team up with Hulk, Loki and a woman. A woman who captured him and sold him to the games. He heard by rumor that she is a Asgaardian, when he see’s her tattoo. Her knows EXACTLY who she is – Valkyrie

Thor is filled with great humor, wit and the thing that always works – awesome fighting scenes. I am most impressed by how we finally got to see Thor’s true powers and they work but I am sure we get to see more of it when Avangers come out with new film I think next year. Take your friends and go see Thor: Ragnarok today, it’s absolutely amazing.

Ghostbusters (2016) **REVIEW**

When the trailer for Ghostbusters was released everyone lost their shit about it. Started saying it was a bad idea for an all female  cast and they would ruin it. It won’t be the same. Well, that is the idea. Did you know that Dan Aykroyd is the one who owns the rights and came with the idea of an all female cast? No? Guess you didn’t.

Ghostbusters we see 4 ladies – 3 scientists and 1 who wants to be for the shit of it. They are trying to prove that ghosts are real but being made fun of and called lunitics. The city tries to cover up all the ghost seeings but you can’t hide it for too long. Someone is making ghosts to come out of hiding and they are powerful. They are coming out of places with a powerful death happening – like a tourist haunted house, former prison etc. So it’s up to these ladies to fight the ghosts and save the world.

Now, when it comes to the script it was quite alright but acting was questionable. Same when it came to the chemistry of the cast, it was mediocre. We see cameos from 5 of the former actors of the original films. And it was clever and the highlight of the film to see them. After the credit rolled you can see a scene where it leans on a second film might come – because Zuul was mentioned.

Actors; Kristen Wiig, Ed Begley Jr, Charles Dance, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Neil Casey, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Chris Hemsworth and many more.

The Huntsman: Winter’s War (2016) **REVIEW**

We all have seen different reviews on this film and most have been very bad. I recently seen The Huntsman: Winter’s War and I’m very conflicted. The storyline is good but the script could have needed more work. The movie is perfect example of horrible sibling rivalry and people who don’t like others who have love and want to destroy it because their love was destroyed.

Ravenna and Freya are sisters, both with magical powers. But Freya have never given in to her powers til one night when she was suppose to run away with the father of her child. But he had a different idea. Freya’s baby died in a fire and she gave in to her power, became Queen of her own kingdom and a very cruel one.

7 years laters – Ravenna been defeated by Snow White and the Huntsman. And her mirror is now missing and anyone looking into the mirror goes insane and kills everyone. Huntman goes on a chase to find the mirror when he hears about this,  but Queen Freya want the mirror, since it was her sisters.

Freya says “Mirror mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?” And who pops out if not her sister? And there is the start of sibling rivalry. But is Freya ready to fight her sister once her learns the truth about her baby?

The Huntsman: Winters War is a film with amazing graphics and effects. But that is exactly what it is. I thought 2 hours of this film was a little too long, it could have perfectly been 1 hour 30 minutes kind of film.

Actors: Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Jessica Chastain, Emily Blunt, Nick Frost, Rob Brydon and many more.

Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) **REVIEW**

A long anticipated movie with the gang: Hawkeye, Black Widow, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America & Hulk.

It all begins with a mission and it goes wrong even then. The gang is trying to find Loki’s scepter and do find it but Tony Stark aka Iron Man doesn’t anticipate to have his mind being played with. We slowly get introduced to the twins – Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch. One is fast and the other one well.. can play with your mind. They find the scepter and takes it back to the Avengers headquarters. Tony decides that he wants to play with it with the help of Bruce Banner aka Hulk. But they don’t see that their experiments will succeed and something will come out of it that they can’t control – Ultron. A machine who see that mankind cannot keep living on and need to be destroyed. While they’re desperately trying to stop him they keep getting their minds played with by Scarlet Witch and find themselves that they have to keep a low profile. To only get the news that Ultron is trying to make himself a living breathing body. So – to stop this the gang have to stop the process or take the body from Ultron before he uploads himself to the body.

The film itself it amazingly done with small and big twists you never saw coming. But I will tell you – if you watch the after credits you see that another will come and it has been confirmed too that a new Avengers is filming as we speak. Exciting. This film – Age of Ultron is only the beginning of what’s coming in the next film but it’s good. You see characters fight amongst themselves to only realize they really have to work together to stop Ultron.

You see actors like Robert Downey JR, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, James Spader, Aaron Tyler-Johnson & Elizabeth Olsen and many more.
