So it’s been a while since the last Underworld and when I heard another one was coming out I was so excited. Expectations was high and then, at last, it’s here. It’s out and…. fail.
‘Underworld: Blood Wars’ contains the usual blood and gore and fight within the house and clan, backstabbing and no one trusts anyone. But what I found interesting, we finally get to know in this film who David’s mom is and that was the highlight of the film, at least to me. There’s nothing special about this ‘Underworld’ film. Everyone wants to know where Selene’s and Michael’s daughter is, everyone wants to find her and use her for her special powers. So Selene is a very hot topic on many mouths. We also get to see what happened to Michael, we didn’t see him in the film before ‘Blood Wars’.
For me, the most impressive thing about the film was Kate’s ability to still rock that bodysuit and kick ass as she always does. Effects was cool but nothing special. Felt like it was the same story but different situation. But if you are a fan of the ‘Underworld’ franchise don’t let my opinion scare you off, see it and just see for yourself what you think of it..
Actors: Kate Beckinsale, Theo James, Tobias Menzies, Lara Pulver, Charles Dance, James Faulkner, Peter Andersson, Bradley James and many more.
When the trailer for Ghostbusters was released everyone lost their shit about it. Started saying it was a bad idea for an all female cast and they would ruin it. It won’t be the same. Well, that is the idea. Did you know that Dan Aykroyd is the one who owns the rights and came with the idea of an all female cast? No? Guess you didn’t.
Ghostbusters we see 4 ladies – 3 scientists and 1 who wants to be for the shit of it. They are trying to prove that ghosts are real but being made fun of and called lunitics. The city tries to cover up all the ghost seeings but you can’t hide it for too long. Someone is making ghosts to come out of hiding and they are powerful. They are coming out of places with a powerful death happening – like a tourist haunted house, former prison etc. So it’s up to these ladies to fight the ghosts and save the world.
Now, when it comes to the script it was quite alright but acting was questionable. Same when it came to the chemistry of the cast, it was mediocre. We see cameos from 5 of the former actors of the original films. And it was clever and the highlight of the film to see them. After the credit rolled you can see a scene where it leans on a second film might come – because Zuul was mentioned.
Actors; Kristen Wiig, Ed Begley Jr, Charles Dance, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Neil Casey, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Chris Hemsworth and many more.
I had the pleasure watching The Imitation Game this weekend and I have to say it was an extraordinary film. Benedict Cumberbatch was excellent as Alan Turing in this true based film about a mathematician trying to crack enigma with fellow mathematicians.
Alan Turing is brilliant person but slightly arrogant. The Imitation Game is about Alan Turing – the guy who we can thank for today for having computers. Alan Turing worked for the government in second world war to crack a code that the Germans was using. All Alan had to do was to build a machine who would help them. He had to write a letter to Churchill to get the funding for the machine because the man in charge of the operation wouldn’t. He wanted to find any reason to kick out Alan. So, Alan Turing builds his machine but it won’t work yet. Him and the others are trying to find a reason to why, they have been given a month while his boss trying to find a Soviet spy at the complex. Which they think is Alan Turing.
Also, Alan Turing trying to keep his sexual preferences a secret. Since homosexuality was illegal back then. He proposes to a female mathematician who been helping Alan in secret with his machine. Her family didn’t want her to be there and he had to hide his sexuality. She was fine with that, she liked his mind and their discussions. But Alan being who he was ended it all. In 1954 Alan Turing ended up killing himself and not being given any credit for his work for the government top-secret project to break the enigma. In 2013 the Queen herself gave Alan Turings family an open apology and gave him credit for his work and lifted his sentence for being homosexual and he had to take pills for chemical castration.
The Imitation Game shows you the adventure and fascinating journey that Alan Turing took when he was working at this project that civilians got read and see about so many years after the war. It’s a film that you REALLY have to see in your life.
You see actors like Benedict Cumberbatch, Keira Knightly, Matthew Goode, Rory Kinnear, Allen Leech, Charles Dance, Mark Strong, Jack Tarlton and many more.
By recommendation from my mother I saw this movie. She knows what I like and she was right. I’ve seen mostly bad reviews on this movie but I liked it. My type of movie.
Prince Vlad Tepes was taken by the turks as a young boy to be trained to kill without mercy and fight for them. He returns home to have a family of his own and protect his homeland from the turks. But when he thinks everything is fine the sultan brings news he wants 1000 boys from him + his own son. Vlad got a though choice to make. He knows he can’t defeat the turks. What does he do? He seeks out the monster living in a cave in the mountains to become strong and safe his home and family.. But there’s a cost to everything. And the prince knows what’s at stake but will his people accept him and not kill him!? And the turks, how will he defeat them!?
You see actors like Luke Evans, Sarah Gadon, Dominic Cooper, Art Parkinson, Charles Dance, Noah Huntley, Ronan Vibert and many more.
Would I recommend it? Yes I would. It’s that kind of movie you have to see for yourself to get an opinion of your own. It’s well made, sure there where missing pieces and they could made the film a little longer but overall – it’s a good one. A good story about the legend of Dracula.
