It’s been a lot of talk about The Green Inferno and how it made people sick watching it. So here goes my opinion. The Green Inferno disappointed me a little, judging from all the hype I thought it was going to be epic. The actors wasn’t even mediocre and there was some bigger names in that film that’s been in several films and tv-shows. I didn’t get much disgusted or had to shut it off for a moment. The film had it moments of when it was good – it keeps you on the edge of your seat on occasion.
Maybe it’s me. I’ve seen slashers that where worse than The Green Inferno but I didn’t feel it was to the point that people been talking about. Yes, they do close ups when they cut someone open but it’s not disgusting. You get to see flash images. You see more in zombie films. So would I recommend it? Uhm, sorry Eli Roth but I wouldn’t want a horror fan to waste their time. It got a good story and all but scare wise – I’d say no.
The Green Inferno is about a gang of American students who go to the Amazon jungle to protest for the jungle being destroyed and tribes being killed off. They get caught and get sent back. But on their travels back, the planes engine breaks and they crash. Multiple students dies in the crash and the surviving ones gets captured by a cannibal tribe. Now they have to fight for their survival and hopefully get home. But it doesn’t look like it.
You see actors like Lorenza Izzo, Ariel Levy, Daryl Sabara, Kirby Bliss Blanton, Magda Apanowicz, Sky Ferreira, Aaron Burns and many more.
