Wonder Woman (2017) **REVIEW**

When it comes to DC I always been a bit iffy. When I heard ‘Wonder Woman’ was going to¬† get a remake and Gal Gadot (Fast and the furious) was going to play Diana I was thrilled, she’s a good actress. When I walked into the cinema screen this weekend I walked in with an open mind and not expecting much, I been very disappointed in past about remakes.

At the start we see Diana as a small child sneaking to see the warriors train, she wants nothing more to train herself and is seen mimic their moves. Her aunt Antiope, the general of Amazon warriors, decides to train her behind Diana’s mother – Amazon Queen. Until Diana’s early/mid teen her mother catches them training and then she decides to let Diana get trained, harder than anyone. Diana grows up to be the best warrior but still get easily distracted.

So, when Diana is standing by a cliff she see’s an airplane crashing into the water, she saves the pilot – Steve. Shortly after the island where the Amazons are gets a visit from the Germans and most of them dies in the attack because they got new weapons that Amazons never seen before – guns. So you know guns VS swords and bows, I am sure you can guess which one would win when the enemy got a distance. But the Amazons wins with a little help from Steve. But the ladies isn’t convinced that he is a good one but Diana want to help him after he describes the outside world an she wants to help, convinced Aries is behind the World War 2. Her mother allows her to leave, so Diana does knowing she might never be able to return home to her mother.

Diana goes out in the World War 2, helping people with the help of 3 men. She is seeing 2 sides of men, the good one and the bad one. Still convinced Aries is behind it at all and thinking a German general is Aries, she is ruthless and goes after him, but little did she know, she already met Aries, but he makes his presence known by the end, where we get introduced to him and we see who he is. And I promise, it’s ALWAYS the last person you’d ever think it would be.

But is ‘Wonder Woman’ a good film for this generation of young ladies? I’d say so. Diana is a kickass warrior who can take care of herself, she speaks over 100 languages and she won’t walk away from a fight, she stays and she wins. A good statement to show young ladies today. Myself is a little like her, I don’t speak 100 languages, I speak 2 – both fluent. I don’t walk away with the smallest sign of difficulty. I would recommend to go and see and see ‘Wonder Woman’ today with your friends, nieces, sisters why not go and see it with your male friends, brothers, nephews? Anyone can see this and leave feeling ready to take on anything. Gal Gadot did a amazing job as ‘Wonder Woman’ and I can’t wait to see more of her version of Diana.

Actors: Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Said Taghmaoui, Ewen Bremner, Eugene Brave Rock and many more.

Suicide Squad (2016) **REVIEW**

Suicide Squad the most anticipated movie this year from DC. So many expectations. But disappointment is in the air. At least for me. Suicide Squad was explosive with funny punchlines and AMAZING effects. But that exactly what Suicide Squad is.

The government is in a need of help from supervillians in a maximum security prison that doesn’t exist. They are trying to control an ancient witch by having her heart, this witch is possessing the body of an archeologist. So they recruit Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Boomerang, Diablo, Katana, Slipknot and Killer Croc to their team. Inserting a bomb in their head if they decide to go their own way during the mission. But when the group of outlaws find out who they are hunting, a choice has to be made. Go with the government to stop it or walk away as their handler, Rock Flag, is setting them free.

We see the love of The Joker and Harley time to time and how they met. Who doesn’t want a love like theirs? I’m not saying psychotic but I’m saying they love each other and people try to keep them apart but they are still fighting to stay together.

We see some funny punchlines from Harley Quinn, she steals the film. The villian in this film is played by Cara Delavingne. They could have casted someone else as the witch, I didn’t like her as the witch. I can say Jared Leto killed it as Joker, he freaked me out a little. The character is quite dark and he is doing an amazing job with it and I do hope seeing Jared Leto as Joker more time. I truly enjoyed his version, same with Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn.

Actors: Will Smith, Ike BarinHoltz, Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Robin Atkin Downes, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney, Ezra Miller, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnouye-Agbaje, Cara Delavingne, Joel Kinnaman and many more.
