The Veil (2016) **REVIEW**

The Veil is one of the new horror’s that recently landed on Netflix. When it comes to horror films today they can be quite weak. But The Veil is different. We see Lily Rabe from American Horror Story in the film, which doesn’t mean much but it’s a familiar face and she is a good actress.

The Veil is about a crew taking a lone survivor of a cult living at a ranch in the woods. When she was 5 they committed mass suicide. As everyone thought. When the crew arrives with Sarah Hope, the survivor, she starting to see things that happened in her past. Not knowing who her parents are. They walk around the estate and find an old house with video clips. Video clips that not even FBI could find when they raided the place. As they are on the grounds of this former cult estate people on the crew starting to go missing one by one but come back – different. So what is going on here? As they are watching the clips more and more of the truth on what actually happened that day when FBI raided the place unfolds.

When it comes to The Veil as a horror I’d probably mark it as a thriller more than a horror. But it keeps you on suspense and I’d say watch it. Sure, won’t scare you like the old horror could but it’ll make you question what’s going on and makes you want more.

You see actors like Jessica Alba, Lily Rabe, Thomas Jane, Aleksa Palladino, Jack De Sena, Reid Scott, Shannon Woodward and many more.
