When it comes to supernatural movies it’s difficult to make them good today – with all the special effects and basically everything been done already. I thought this one would be different but it really wasn’t. The Babadook 2014 IMDb
You could say Samuel is a troubled child and no one seems to want to help Amelia with him – just complains he’s a trouble maker and no one likes him. Amelia is stressed out of her head and everyone keeps complaining and she just runs into a wall. Which this scenario is a good way in for supernatural entities to come in and cause hazard. One day when Amelia is about to put Samuel into bed after that he had one of his nightmare episodes, Sam finds a book is room – it just came from no where. Amelia reads it and find the content quite scary and Samuel gets scared. She read about the Babadook, someone who wants to take over and you won’t get out of alive. But is Amelia and Samuel strong enough to fight Babadook? But, how to get rid of it? Thing is, you don’t.
The film itself isn’t scary scary but it can be uncomfortable at time. It contains the normal possession and a boys love for his mother to do anything so the Babadook doesn’t get to his mother, even though he knows he’s been a troubled boy, he still love his mother.
You see actors like Essie Davis, Noah Wiseman, Hayley McElhinney, Barbara West, Benjamin Winspear and many more.
